MARGARET LAMB, PH.D. Margaret Lamb is director of the Individualized Major Program and responsible for all academic advising, programming, and services of the Individualized & Interdisciplinary Studies Program. She is also responsible for working with faculty and staff to plan and coordinate the delivery of Honors courses and curriculum, as well as the provision of Honors and related Enrichment Program advising. Dr. Lamb is a Harvard graduate (A.B., government) who crossed the Atlantic for her Ph.D. (University of Reading, England) in accounting, taxation, and business history. She is a public accountant and corporate tax specialist who worked for two Big Four accounting firms in England and the US. As a faculty member at the University of Warwick (England), she taught accounting and tax to undergraduates and MBA students, and supervised doctoral candidates. She served terms as Warwick Business School program director for undergraduate curriculum development, study abroad programs, and the BSc in Accounting and Finance. An accounting researcher known for her interdisciplinary work on UK and European taxation and accounting, Dr. Lamb is author of many journal articles and co-author of Taxation: An Interdisiciplinary Approach to Research (2004, Oxford University Press). Dr. Lamb has directed UConn’s Individualized & Interdisciplinary Studies Program since 2004.
